1,125,228. Forming lampholders on tape cables. D. MORANDUZZO. 20 June, 1966 [18 June, 1965 (2)], No. 27548/66. Heading H2E. One of a number of holders for capless " fairy lights ", or another socket outlet, is formed on a tape cable by securing the free ends of a generally U-shaped member 8<SP>1</SP>, Fig. 8, to a bared portion of a conductor 2 of the cable, removing the base 8b of the U- shaped member to form two separate contact blades 8, removing the bared conductor from between the blades and surrounding the blades by an insulating body. Preferably the U- shaped member 8<SP>1</SP> has trough-shaped projections 8a which are soldered or crimped to the conductor 2, and after removal of the base 8b of the member the free ends of the blades 8 are bent outwardly. The body 4 of the lampholder is preferably of plastics material moulded about the tape cable.
