Abstract
1,122,427. Castors. GEO. H. HUGHES Ltd. 1 April, 1966 [3 April, 1965], No. 14230/65. Heading A4U. A castor comprises a pivot shank 13 having two plain bearings 17, 18 secured thereto and adapted to rotate in cup shaped recesses 11, 12 in the head of the castor. The upper bearing 17 is an interference fit on or is integral with the shank and the lower bearing 18 is threaded to the shank and locked by a nut 19. Two fork arms 6 having slots 7 at their ends for receiving a wheel axle are formed integrally with the head of the castor. The head and arms are made of synthetic plastic material.
