1,119,718. L C. engine valve gear. MASCHINENFABRIK AUGSBURGNœRNBERG A. G. Oct. 21, 1966 [Nov. 20, 1965], No.47433/66. Heading F1B. An I. C. engine having at least three inlet valves 2, Fig. 1 and three exhaust valves 3 per cylinder has rings 5, 6 or ring pieces mounted in the cylinder cover 1 for rotation about the cylinder axis by a camshaft acting through rocker levers 17 mounted on fixed pivots 18, each rocker lever being engaged by one ring or ring piece and having an end portion engaging the associated valve stem. Rotational movement of the ring or ring piece imparts a rocking movement to the rocking levers to effect longitudinal movement of the associated valve stem. Each ring piece may extend over half the periphery. In another embodiment a high level camshaft acts directly on the bell cranks 7, 8.
