In a blank for a cardboard box having obtuse corners formed by side walls 2, 3 and corner wall 14, a bottom flap 12 for each corner has the curved outline shown, which is stated to improve locking and facilitate erection. The curvature 11 also ensures that the inwardly curved corner edge 11 of the bottom is located inwardly with respect to the lower edge 13 of the corner wall 14 which lower edge is therefor protected to a certain extent from projections on supporting surfaces etc.
