Abstract
1,119,034. Trueing grinding wheels. GROSSDREHMASCHINENBAU " 7 OKTOBER " VEB. 7 March, 1966, No. 9906/66. Heading B3D. An apparatus for simultaneously dressing flanks and tip of a grinding wheel for grinding gears comprises two dressing tools 14 for dressing the flanks mounted on respective levers 13 rockable about axes 12 in housings 5 secured in a circular guide 3 to the frame 1 of the apparatus, a dressing tool (22, Fig. 1) fastened to a lever for dressing the tip of the wheel, a central drive shaft 7 mounted along the axis of the circular guide in the frame 1 and having three eccentrics 9, 10, 11 provided thereon which are offset in relation to one another both axially and angularly, and feeler elements 17 (231, Fig. 3) which bear against the eccentrics and are connected to the levers. The housings 5 are mounted on a bearing 6 in the frame 1 and are angularly adjustable about the bearing and can be secured in position by screws (4, Fig. I) engaging members seated in the groove 3. The drive shaft 7 is disposed in the bearing and at one end has a sprocket by means of which it is rotated, and at the other end supports the eccentrics 9, 10, 11. Each housing 5 has a swivel axis 12 for a lever 13, each lever having a dressing tool 14 for a flank of the grinding wheel. A lever 17 is also secured to each swivel axis and engages a respective eccentric 9, 10 to cause swinging of the levers 13 when the shaft 7 is rotated to move the dressing tools 14 so as to dress the flanks of the grinding wheel. The rotation of shaft 7 also causes the eccentric 11 to rock a lever arm (231, Fig. 3) about a bolt (24), the arm being connected to a lever (23, Fig. 1) carrying the dressing tool (22) for the tip of the grinding wheel.
