C. engine lubricating arrangement comprises a lubricant feed duct 8, Fig. 2 connected to a duct 6 in a support bracket 2, a rocker arm 3 carried on a shaft 1 mounted in the bracket and radial passages 10 and 4 connecting the axial shaft passage 5 with a peripheral recess in the shaft and with the rocker arm bore. The lubricant flow is adjusted by varying the overlap 's' between recess 9 and duct 6. In another embodiment a gap (30), Fig. 2 (not shown) between the adjacent ends of two shaft parts replaces the radial holes 10.
