Abstract

1,117,284. Cross-bottom bags. K. H. HONSEL. 8 Aug., 1966 [9 Aug., 1965], No. 35463/66. Heading B8K. [Also in Division B5] A cross-bottom bag formed from a tubular blank is made by folding a corner flap 18, Fig. 2, formed by incisions 12, 12a, and an adjacent portion, defined by fold lines 14, 22, 22a, of the triangular pocket about the folding line 14 to simultaneously cause the cross-bottom flaps 19, 19a to be folded over each other, Fig. 3, about lines 2a, 2b, whereupon the bottom flaps 19, 19a are adhesively secured together and the corner flap 18, together with the adjacent portion, folded inwardly about the line 14 and secured to the bottom flaps. The tubular blank is machine scored and folded, one triangular pocket 11 having no incisions 12, 12a so that a filling tube or valve may be fitted.
