Abstract

1,117,055. Cabinets. ARMAGH EQUIPMENT Ltd. 30 May, 1967 [28 Feb., 1966], No. 8667/66. Heading A4B. A cabinet for a sewing or office machine which can be elevated to a working position has a front door 15 and a lid 20 which when in their open positions are disposed inside the cabinet. The door 15 consists of a plurality of articulated sections and is slidable along a track 16 in the floor 17 of the cabinet and extending along the front and along a side wall 18. The lid 20 is provided on its longitudinal edges with two pairs of pins 21, 22 which slide in longitudinal grooves 25 in the top of the cabinet and in vertical grooves 26 in side members 27 of a frame 19 within the cabinet. The sewing machine is mounted on a platform 7 having rollers 10 which run on uprights 11 secured to the rear wall 12. The platform is urged upwardly by springs 9 and is secured in operative and stored positions by spring loaded pins 14 engaging notches 13. The front central part (28) of the floor 17 of the cabinet can be swung into a vertical position near a side wall.
