Abstract

1,115,993. Valves. BELLISS & MORCOM MANUFACTURING Ltd. 11 March, 1966 [29 April, 1965], No. 18021/65. Heading F2V. A non-return valve comprises a housing 11 having a support 13 mounted in the flow path by ribs 14, these parts being cast as an integral unit. A valve closure 18 has a stem 19 slidable in the support and loaded by a spring 20 towards a valve seat 16 which is located in a recess in the body and secured by a circlip 17. The support 13 is tapered in the direction of flow and forms a streamline body with closure 18 when the valve is open. The valve body may be mounted in a plate 12 by circlips 12a and several valves mounted in one plate may be used in a compressor.
