Abstract

1,113,749. Hot water boiler. REPCO PRODUCTS CORPORATION. 31 Oct., 1966, No. 48745/66. Heading F4A. A hot water boiler comprises a water chamber traversed by rows of fire tubes 24 which may be provided with helical baffles, extending between a lower combustion chamber 10 and a gas collecting hood 26. Water supply and delivery connections 18, 19 are provided in the walls 17 of the water chamber. The hood 26, detachably secured to the remainder of the boiler by bolt means 30-33, has a flue pipe connector 34 mounted forwardly of its centre in its top wall 27. A baffle formed as two spaced inclined walls 35 divides the hood 26 into upper and lower chambers 41, 42 respectively interconnected by a central rectangular opening 40. The cross-sectional areas of the tubes 24, the opening 40 and the flue pipe connector 34, are approximately equal.
