1,097,523. Valves. ACF INDUSTRIES Inc. June 4, 1965 [June 30, 1964]. No. 23883/65. Heading F2V. A valve comprises a gate 34 to control flow through a passageway 26 having seat rings 68. Each ring 68 comprises a sealing ring (74), (Fig 6, not shown), and an external groove (86) to locate a gate guide member (76). Each guide comprises a plate (78) having side flanges (82) to restrict lateral movement of the gate and oppositely directed flanges (84) to locate in the groove (86) in such a manner to allow removal of the guide from the ring 68, Fig. 5, (not shown).
