In a shaped element 1 for mounting, for example glass panes, on the frame of a door or window comprising a cover part 6 movably connected by a flexible portion 9 to a base part 2 with a rabbet 3 to receive a panel 7 for mounting, secured therein by the cover 6, between the line of articulation of the base 2 and the cover 6 and the rabbet 3 is a groove 8 to accommodate the heads of fixing elements 10 and to locate the elements in line. A partition is between the rabbet 3 and the groove 8 and has a catch head 4 to engage a recess 5 in the cover.
