[Also in Division F4] The phial or bulb of a bellows thermostat (not shown) controlling the gas supply to a water-tube heater, is mounted within and in thermal contact with a tubular housing 22 extending within one of the water-tubes (e. g. the water-tube 12; Fig. 2 not shown). The housing 22 is in thermal contact with a tube liner 25 which extends through the tube 12. The housing is accessible through an open end thereof which is mounted in an aperture formed in a header cover-plate 20, the other end of the housing being closed.
