Abstract

1,087,607. Moulding Wellington boots. DESMA WERKE G.m.b.H. July 23, 1965, No. 31429/65. Heading B5A. A pair of inflatable Wellington boot lasts, comprising an inflatable rubber envelope 30 or a metal core 33 surrounded by an inflatable rubber envelope 34, are carried on a wheeled tracked carriage 22 whereby one last is being provided with a sock, reinforcements and rubber skins whilst the other, which has been delivered along carriage guide rails (27a, 27b) (Fig. 1, not shown) and 29, is enclosed between reciprocable side moulds 10, 11 and vulcanized on to a partially pre-vulcanized sole which has been lowered into contact with the last in a mould 14 on a reciprocable ram 12 which is provided on the opposite side thereof with a further sole mould 13 in which a sole is simultaneously being moulded and partially vulcanized, against a plate 18; the ram 12 being rotatable to present the mould 13 to the succeeding last. Different material and colours may conveniently be employed for the uppers and soles.
