Abstract

1,086,474. Sieves. GOSUDARSTVENNY PROEKTNO-KONSTRUKTORSKY INSTITUT "GIPROMASHUGLEOBOGASCHENIE". May 27, 1965, No. 22532/65. Heading B2H. A device for resiliently mounting a wire screen 1 in a screen box 8 comprising a movable plate 19 connected to the screen by one or more links 12, and one or more hollow bodies 23 of resilient material which are disposed between the movable plate and screen box and connected to a source of gas or liquid by a valve 26 so that the screen can be tensioned while the screen box is in operation. The screen is connected by hooks 4 to a wall 7 at one end and by hooks 9 at the other, the latter being connected by pins 10 to the links 12. Valve 26 controls the pressure fluid to the hollow bodies 23 which are in the form of tubular reservoirs. Cleaning of the screen is achieved by discharging the pressure fluid from the reservoirs so as to reduce tension and allow the vibrations of the screen box shake the wires. Each link slides in a guide 16 and is adjustable against the action of a spring 15 by means of nuts 17. The screen is supported on rubber cushions 20.
