A chair has a tubular: underframe 11 supporting a polypropylene moulding 10 providing a seat 10a and integral back support 10b the seat part having integral hollow spigot elements 12 projecting from the underside of the seat to engage apertured lugs on the frame 11 and each spigot is reduced in diameter intermediate its ends to form a head (12b), a retaining element 14 in the form of a ring being forced over the head.
