Abstract

1,082,888. Dry shavers. CARINTHIA ELEKTROGER€TE G.m.b.H. June 8, 1966 [June 15, 1965], No. 25580/66. Heading B4B. A shaving head for a dry shaver comprises a cutter foil 6 and a cutter comb 10 of a side cutter and a common cutter 11 movable back and forth under the foil and comb, the cutter 11 being arranged in a frame one longitudinal part 3 of which extends with clearance beneath the side cutter and then forms part of the boundary of a chamber to receive the hair clippings, the cutter 11 having a portion 14 with teeth 15 co-operating with the comb 10, a T-shaped strip 21 being secured to the portion 14 and intermeshing, with clearance, a groove 23 in the frame part 3 to prevent hair clippings escaping from the chamber. Alternatively, a strip projecting upwardly from the part 3 is overlapped on either side with play by strips fixed on the portion 14. The other end of the foil 6 has cutter teeth 7 co-operable with teeth 15<SP>1</SP> on the cutter 11 to form a closed side cutter which may have the sealing described used therewith. The cutter 11 is fixed to a carrier 16 of plastic urged by springs 18 towards the foil 6. The ends of the frame part 3 are provided with wall portions (24), Fig. 3 (not shown), and the cutter (11) has two open-ended longitudinal slots (25) in which the wall portions (24) penetrate during oscillation of the cutter (11).
