Abstract

1,080,714. Rolling. MASCHINENFABRIK HASENCLEVER A.G. July 20, 1965 [March 12, 1965], No. 30774/65. Heading B3M. A manipulator for presenting a workpiece 3 to a rolling mill 4 comprises a base 7, a transverse slide 8 mounted thereon, a longitudinal slide 9 guided on slide 8 and a work-holder 2 carried on slide 9 the manipulator being pivotable about axis 13. The slides are controlled by hydraulic fluid supplied by a pump 10 driven by an electric motor 11. The manipulator can be pivoted to the chain dotted position of Fig. 2 to thus give free axis to the rolling mill 4, and can be pivoted into the operative position, and clamped in such position, by bolts. The rolls 5, 6 of mill 4 provide a series of pass grooves.
