Abstract

1,079,637. Stop motions. FLIGHT REFUELLING Ltd. April 27, 1966 [Oct. 6, 1965; Feb. 25, 1966], No. 42443/65. Headings DID, D1F, D1J and D1M. A stop motion comprises an arm 4 pivoted on a membrane 6 and having a magnet 5 that operates a reed-type switch 10, 11 when slack or broken thread 1 allows the arm to pivot. The arm 4 and casing 7 may be moulded in plastics material and the eyelet 3 may be ceramic. The mechanisms may be arranged in banks and pivoted levers 12 may be provided to render inoperative unused arms 4. The magnet may be annular and surround the reed-type switch.
