Abstract

1,079,199. Core constructions. SIEMENSSCHUCKERTWERKE A.G. June 28, 1966 [July 3, 1965], No. 29033/66. Addition to 1,037,902. Heading H2A. The method of making a stator, which forms the invention claimed in Specification 1,037,902 is modified by winding the outer ring from strip metal having a tapering thickness with the initially thinnest edge on the inside of the ring. Preferably the strip is formed from a double width strip which is rolled to be thinnest along its centre line and is then cut along this line after heat treatment. The strip is formed from grain oriented metal and the completed outer ring is heat treated to restore its magnetic properties.
