Abstract

1,078,973. Counting-apparatus. SPERRY GYROSCOPE CO. Ltd. July 22, 1964 [July 26, 1963], No. 29648/63. Heading G4D. [Also in Division G1] At least two digits of the least significant order are always visible through an aperture. The Mach number in units and first decimal digit is displayed on two drums 7, 6 with the second decimal digit on an annulus 8 surrounding the drums, three of said last digit being visible through aperture 5. The boss 11 is in a contrasting colour to represent the decimal point. Air speed is indicated by a pointer 4 on a scale 2. The invention is also applicable to an altimeter and rate of climb or descent meter (Fig. 2, not shown).
