1,078,079. Washing machines. G. J. A. GEURTSEN. Dec. 7, 1965 [Sept. 12, 1964], No. 37393/64. Heading D1A. An automatic washing machine has, mounted in a casing G, a variably rotatable outer tub F and an inner tub E rotatable therewith, means being provided between the tubs to contain liquid which is movable to reduce unbalance and vibration of the rotating tubs. Tub F is secured to a central shaft C and tube E is perforated. Two ring-like resilient tubes H of mercury or water are mounted between the tubs F, E in annular recesses in their walls to transmit the drive from tub F to tub E. Rubber spacing rings N separate the tubs at their ends.
