Abstract

1,076,243. Tables. F. BREMSHEY and DR. W. FUELLING. Feb. 1, 1966 [Feb. 3, 1965; March 17, 1965], No. 4342/66. Heading A4H. The legs (9) of a table are of hollow square cross-section. and are detatchably secured to the table top (1) by pushing their open ends over hollow square pegs (6) on cranked yokes (2, 3) secured to the underside of table top, spring means in the pegs serving to retain the legs. The spring means may comprise a U-shaped spring (7, Fig. 2) disposed within the peg and having a pin (8) which projects through a hole in the peg to engage a hole (10) in the leg; or flat bent springs (20), (Figs. 4, 5) riveted to the inside of the peg and projecting through openings in the peg to frictionally hold the leg; pins may be provided on the flat springs to engage holes in the legs (Fig. 5, 6). A separate peg may be used for coupling tubular members together (Fig. 6). A wire mesh shelf is supported below the table top by engaging wire hooks (17) on the tray between the yokes (2,8) and the table top or by engaging the hooks in holes (18, Fig. 3) in the yokes (2, 3).
