Abstract

The invention comprises a dyestuff which in the free acid form has the formula <FORM:1073220/C4-C5/1> It may be obtained by triazolizing the aminoazo dyestuff of the formula <FORM:1073220/C4-C5/2> preferably by treating the o-aminoazo dyestuff in an aqueous medium with copper sulphate in the presence of ammonia or acetic acid at an elevated temperature. An example is given for the preparation of the dyestuff. It may be used to dye cellulose materials yellow shades. The dyestuff of Formula II is obtained by coupling the diazo compound of an amine of the formula <FORM:1073220/C4-C5/3> with 2-aminonaphthalene-6-sulphonic acid.
