Abstract
1,072,433. Tea processing machines. T. C. MARTIN. March 25, 1964 [March 25, 1963], No. 11782/63. Heading A2B. A C.T.C. machine (being an improvement in the machine which forms the subject matter of Specification 870,529) comprises, in combination, a bottom extended pedestal and a sliding arm frame characterized in that the said sliding arm frame is adapted to be fitted by a dovetail joint at the rear and on top of said pedestal, so that it can be slid towards the feeding end of said bottom pedestal to expose the roller bearings fully for quick removal of the rollers from the top or the rear side of the machine. In Fig. 1 is shown the bottom extended pedestal, on which rests the slow speed roller housing 2, which is secured by bolts 6 to the pedestal and bolts 7 fitting in slotted holes in the sliding arm frame 5. High-speed roller housing 4 is secured by bolts 8 to frame 5, and bolts 9 fitting in slotted holes in the pedestal 1. Micro-brock 3 is attached to the pedestal by bolt 11, and frame 5 is secured to this block by a bolt 10 passing through a slotted hole in the frame. The opposite end of the frame 5 rests on a sliding dovetail key 15 which is locked in position by studs and nuts 16. The segment rollers (not shown) are adjusted for positions by means of the microscrew 12, which is attached to housing 4, co-operating with microdial 13 and nut 14.
