1,071,626. Egg boxes and the like. KING PACKAGING Ltd. Nov. 4, 1964 [Nov. 7, 1963], No. 45018/64. Heading B8P. A multiple package for rounded articles such as eggs, comprises two portions -2, 3 connected together along a common edge about which the package can be folded to bring the portions face to face, each of the two portions being provided with a number of generally hemispherical housings la which co-operate when the portions are face to face to provide a corresponding number of complete housings for the individual articles, the housings having external projections 5, 6 whereby external shocks can be absorbed without transmission to the articles. For stacking the projections 6 seat in recesses in projections 5 of an adjacent package. An internal protuberance 7 supports the articles in the housing. Apertures 8, Fig. 1 (not shown), form a handle. The package may be moulded from a plastics material.
