Abstract
107,137. McCart, J. Oct. 2, 1916. Mechanical toys. - Relates to acrobatic toys and comprises the representation of a human figure with its arms extended in opposite directions and movable in a vertical plane so as to throw a small figure from one hand to the other over the head of the main figure. The arms 3 of the main figure are pivoted at 4 to the front of the body portion 1, and the small figure is pivoted to the bent end 15 of a wire 9 which crosses either arm or hand 7, engaging the upper side thereof, and is pivoted at 10 to the back of the body 1. By jerking upon the finger-ring 14 at the end of the cord 12, which is connected by cords 11 to the inner ends of the arms 3, the rod 9 and the small figure 8 are thrown from one hand to the other of the main figure. Cleats 5 secured to the body 1 limit the downward movement of the arms 3.
