Abstract

1,068,061. Discharging liquids under gaseous pressure. PILLSBURY CO. April 30, 1964, No. 18037/64. Heading F1R. A device for dispensing a food product P, e. g. icing, comprises a container C, having a tiltable tubular dispensing valve member (21), Fig. 7 (not shown) and housing a product dispensing piston 23 subject to a gaseous propellant G, in combination with a closure cap and nozzle unit 12. The unit 12 comprises a central closure cap 13 and four spaced nozzle members 14 moulded integrally therewith. A nozzle member 14 is secured to the valve member (21), Fig. 7, spaced protuberances (40) and (41), Fig. 5 (not shown), on the nozzle member engaging threads on the valve member, in place of the cap 13 when it is desired to dispense product P. The nozzle members may be broken away from the cap along lines of weakness (31), Fig. 3 (not shown), in the connecting webs. The device is provided with a cap 16 of a coloured or transparent plastics material, e.g. cellulose acetate.
