Abstract

106,306. Crawford, C., and Harry, R. H. May 15, 1916. Gas hand-irons are provided with an arched chamber 2 open at one end to receive a casting 6, pre. ferably of iron, forming a highpressure gas burner, downwardly. directed apertures 9 for the outlet of the gas mixture being formed in a thickened base 8, or in webs 10, Fig. 3. The burner is supported at the inner end by a ledge 5, and at the other end by ledges 4a, and is held in position by a screw-stud 13. The end oi the burner is fitted with a plug 12, and openings 15 are provided in the sides of the iron for the escape of the products of combustion.
