Abstract
1,059,214. Photo-developable silver halide emulsions. EASTMAN KODAK CO. July 9, 1964, No.28457/64. Heading G2C. Photo-developable silver halide emulsions contain (1) 0À1-100 mole % of a chloride, bromide or iodide of Li, Na, K, Ca, Mg or NH4 and (2) 0À1-50 mole % of a substituted thiourea halogen acceptor of formula R<1>R<2> N-C(S)-NR<3>R<4> wherein R<1>-R<4> are each H or a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl or aryl group or R<1> and R<4> together complete a heterocyclic ring, not all of R<1>-R<4> being H, the mole % being based on the silver halide. The silver halide grains are preferably 0À1 to 10 Á and are predominately internally sensitive. Suitable heterocyclic compounds (2) are triazolethiols, imidazole-thiones, imidazoline-thiones, triazine thiols, thiobarbituric acids and thiouracils. The emulsions are exposed imagewise to a high intensity light and then developed by a uniform low intensity light.
