Abstract

1,058,607. Positioning wefts. J. L. LLADO. May 20, 1964 [May 30, 1963], No. 20784/64. Heading D1E. When the weft has been released by a dummy shuttle it is pulled back by a movable clamp to position the free end of the weft adjacent the marginal warp yarn. The rocking lever (24) Fig. 6, (not shown) is moved against the action of a spring by a face cam (12) and the lower movable jaw is operated by an edge cam (13) both cams being mounted on the same shaft. The position of the upper non-moving jaw is adjustable and a spring insert is provided thereon to assist gripping of the weft.
