Abstract

1,056,960. Piston rings. TRIST MOULDINGS & SEALS Ltd. Dec. 7, 1965, No. 51868/65. Addition to 1, 026,354. Heading F2T. Piston packing comprises a soft rubber ring 1 surrounded by two fabric-reinforced rubber backing rings 2 and surrounding two similar fabric-reinforced rubber backing rings 3, the backing rings 2 and 3 being bonded to the ring 1 and having sealing lips 6 and 8 separated by a short length 5 and 7 respectively of the ring 1. Axial tongues 4 of the ring 1 extend between the rings 2 and 3.
