Abstract
1,053,237. Impregnating textiles. ULSTER OIL REFINERIES Ltd. July 21, 1964 [Aug. 12, 1963], No. 31690/63. Heading A5E. [Also in Division C5]. In example 7, a product suitable for insertion in a water sprayer for killing insects or bacteria is produced by impregnating cotton material first with a mixture of 2,4-dinitrocresol and tetrapropylene benzene sulphonic acid, and then with caustic soda, the acid and caustic soda reacting in situ on the material to form a detergent. In example 8, a disinfectant product is produced by similarly impregnating cotton material first with a mixture of sulphonated castor oil fatty acid and pine oil, and then with caustic soda.
