Abstract
1,052,830. Endless conveyers. DAVY & UNITED ENGINEERING CO. Ltd. Nov. 25, 1965 [Nov. 27, 1964; May 6, 1965], Nos. 48208/64 and 19193/65. Heading B8A. [Also in Division C7] Overlapping turns of wire are transported through a fluidized bed for cooling by means of a conveyer including endless chains 28, the pivotal links of which circulate on rails 21, 25 and upon which are mounted a series of brackets 34. To these brackets are attached horizontal plates 36 extending through slits 37 in the sides of the fluidized bed vessel 12, these plates having in turn secured to them depending brackets 41 upon the bases of which is mounted the conveying surface. The latter is formed of a series of transverse tubes 42 carrying bars 43, the upper edges of which are serrated, while further bars 45 are secured between the outer bars 43 and the brackets 41.
