Abstract
1,051,376. Railway carriages. COMPAGNIE INTERNATIONALE DES WAGONS-LIT ET DES GRANDS EXPRESS EUROPEENS. Nov. 3, 1964 [Nov. 4, 19631, No. 44793/64. Heading B7C. A sleeping car has alternately along its length lower and upper compartments 1, 15, Fig. 1, of L- and T-shaped section, respectively, the floors 2 of the compartments 1 being level with the floor of the corridor 3, Fig. 3 (not shown), whilst the floors 14 of the compartments 15 are at a higher level and are each connected to the corridor 3 by at least one step 16, Fig. 2. Each compartment 1 has folding beds 8, 9, stowable against one wall, seats 6, 7 which are stowable under the bed 8, when erected, an air conditioning device 12, a washstand 10 and a luggage boot 13 under the floor 14 of the adjacent compartment 15. Each compartment 15 has beds 22, 23 disposed on the ceilings of the adjacent compartments 1, a double seat 19, an air-conditioning device 21, a washstand 20 and a luggage boot 24 above the beds and provided with an extension 25 connected to the car roof by the rods.
