Abstract
1,051,316. Keepers. R. J. HAMMERTON Sept. 22, 1965 [Nov. 23, 1964], No. 47621/64. Heading E2A. A lock staple fitting comprises a pair of cheeks 1a, 1b arranged at right angles to each other, a box staple 2 provided on one of said cheeks, the said cheeks being intended to overlie respective adjacent faces of a door jamb and means embodied with said fitting for improving the security of said fitting on the door jamb comprising a primary shank piece 4 arranged for projection from one of said cheeks when passed into a bore formed in the door jamb and a secondary shank piece 5 arranged to be passed through a hole in the other cheek and through a bore formed in the door jamb said secondary shank piece being arranged to reach to and engage with said primary shank piece at a position within the material of said door jamb comprising a primary shank piece a transverse hole which is screw threaded and which is engaged by a screw threaded end portion of the shank piece 5.
