1,050,318. Connecting ferrules. CHRYSLER CORPORATION. June 14, 1965, No. 25082/65. Heading F2G. A connecting ferrule of a plastics material comprises a body 10 including an apertured, transverse wall 24 and a counterbore 52 provided with circumferentially spaced locating fingers 86 for engaging the extension 46 of a speedometer frame, and an axially disposed lever 14 joined to the body for securing the extension in the counterbore. The wall 24 serves as a thrust bearing for the core 28 of the speedometer drive cable. The body is slotted on each side of the lever to provide a spring-like portion for connecting the lever to the body, and the lever has a hook 60 for engagement with the extension 46.
