Abstract

1,049,502. Mechanical garages. SILOPARK S.A. Feb. 19, 1964 [Feb. 28, 1963], No. 6884/64. Heading B8E. The platform 1 of a lift in a mechanical garage is movable on guides 2 and is provided with two vehicle-supporting trolleys 3, 4 which are connected by members 8, 9 respectively to opposite runs of driven endless chains or cables, mounted beneath the platform, so as to be movable simultaneously in opposite directions. The lift is mounted between two sets of four columns of parking bays and each trolley, which is provided with a transfer device 10, 11 for transferring vehicles between the trolley and the parking bays, serves two columns of parking bays at each end of the lift. In a modification (not shown), the trolleys are provided with individual drive systems controlled in synchronism and in opposite directions.
