Abstract

[Also in Division G5] In a box-like device for illuminating transparencies such as X-ray films, one or more transparency is placed against one face of a frosted glass plate which forms the front of the box, the interior being divided into separate chambers each having an individually controlled light source. To prevent the formation of shadows on the trans - lucent plate when two or more chambers are illuminated, the ends of the partitions are bevelled, and the partitions finish a short distance from the translucent plate. Glass spaces may be used.
