[Also in Division F1] The driven member 5 of a centrifugal clutch 4 in an engine cooling fan drive is provided with braking means 13 actuated when the engine temperature falls below a predetermined value. The clutch is of the lead shot type having a driven member 1 with a bladed member 4 moving in the lead shot chamber of the driven member 5. The brake band 13 may be applied directly by a thermostat or indirectly through a solenoid or through devices actuated by lubricating oil or cooling water pressure.
