Abstract

1,044,748. Bearings. V. V. IONOV. Aug. 5, 1964, No. 31777/64. Heading F2A. In a rectilinear-motion bearing having recirculating supporting rollers 8, each adjacent pair of rollers 8 has a spacer-roller 10 therebetween, each roller 8 has stub-shafts 9 thereon, the diameters of the spacer-rollers 10 and of the stub-shafts 9 are substantially equal, and the spacer-rollers and the stub-shafts are guided in slots 7 provided in the walls of a race-way 6 of a split housing. The bearing comprises the split housing having a base 1 and end-portions 2 and an inner race member 3 having split end-portions 4 and 5, Figs. 5 and 4 (not shown), respectively. As the spacer-rollers 10 become worn they are replaced by spacer-rollers 11, Fig. 1 (not shown), which have a middle portion of a larger diameter than the diameter of the rollers 10.
