Abstract

104,285. Gould, C. A. June 15, 1916. Stoppers, screw and like; stoppers, plug.- Relates to a modification of the stopper or closure for bottles &c. described in Specification 17030/15. The stopper B, of compressed cork, has a screw-threaded plug to engage an internal thread on the bottle neck, and an integral top adapted to be pressed on to the top of the bottle &c. by means of an external screw cap C The plug of the stopper is preferably slightly tapered, and the cap C may have a central aperture. Instead of a screw cap C, a cap secured by a bayonet-joint, wire clip, &c. may be used.
