Abstract

1,042,538. Vehicle rear-view mirrors. RAYDYOT Ltd. Aug. 19, 1965 [Aug. 21, 1964]. No. 34375/64. Heading B7J. A mirror as claimed in Claim 1 of Specification 967,804, in which a mirror head carried by a stem 18, Fig. 1, with a ball joint interposed between the stem and the head has a ball socket formed in the back of the head and said back comprises two separate parts which meet at a plane passing through the socket and the mirror glass, and is provided with a screwthread formed about the socket parts and a nut 21 which secures the socket parts together and exerts frictional resistance to turning of the ball in the socket. In Figs. 2-4 (not shown), the small and large moulded mirror parts 12, 13 are put together to give several different forms of mirror.
