Abstract
1,040,602. Locking set-screws. LICENTIA PATENT-VERWALTUNGS-G.m.b.H. May 10, 1963 [May 11, 1962], No. 18597/63. Heading F2H. [Also in Division H2] A conductor 4, Fig. 2, is connected to a contact member 1, Fig. 1 (not shown), by means of a clamping screw 6 having a plunger 7 which is rotatably and axially movable relative to the screw, and which carries on its shank springs 8, situated between the screw and the widened conductor-engaging end of the plunger. There may be four pairs of cup springs 8, adjacent pairs being arranged to face in opposite directions, and the plunger may be retained in a longitudinal bore in the screw by flaring the end contained therein. The contact may be used in a rotary tap changer switch for a transformer in which the rotary arm would contact the portion 3, the portion 2 being inserted and retained in an insulating strip to secure the contact.
