Abstract

The invention comprises dyes of formula <FORM:1037163/C4-C5/1> wherein R1 and R2 are H or alkyl radicals which may be substituted, R3 and R4 are H or alkyl, at least one of R1, R2, R3 and R4 being other than H. The dyes are prepared by condensing a 2-nitro-4-sulphonamido-halobenzene with an aminoazobenzene. The dyes are used to dye polyester and cellulose triacetate materials from aqueous dispersions in yellow shades.
