Abstract

1,034,992. Clocks and watches. KIENZLE UHRENFABRIKEN G.m.b.H. Jan. 22,1965, [April 8,1964], No. 2879/65. Heading G3T. [Also in Division H2] A timepiece balance 1, Figs 3 & 4 (not shown) carries a permanent magnet 1a co-operating with a fixed impulsing coil 3. Adjacent the coil is a magnetic switch 2 adapted to close an energizing circuit. The arrangement is such that when the amplitude of the balance exceeds, say, 280 degrees, the contact fails to close, so that a constant amplitude is maintained. The switch is influenced by the field arising from the energized coil as well by the stray field of the magnet. The switch has one field contact 8, 9 and one spring contact 10,13 in an oil filled envelope 16 which may be of glass or plastics. Bentover ends of the contacts co-operate with the field 14. One contact has a contact dome, the other being flat, and they have a coating of diffused-in gold. The spring contact is initially leniconed by a stop 15, Fig 6 (not shown)
