Abstract

1,033,974. Resilient mountings. GEORGE ANGUS & CO. Ltd. April 29, 1963 [April 30, 1962], No. 16712/63. Heading F2S. An elastomeric spring element comprises a resilient cushion 1 of cellular structure which is free from internal metal projections and which is adhered on one side, or on two opposite sides, to a flat metal armouring 2 having outwardlybent edges 5, 6 between which means for securing clamping elements are secured to the outside of the armouring. The securing means may consist e.g. of a nut 7 or a bar 12, Fig. 3, not shown, provided with screw-threaded holes 14 the height of the nut 7 or a bar 12 being slightly less than that of the edges 5, 6. A cushion of resilient material may be stuck to the outer surface of each plate between the edges 5, 6.
