Abstract
1,032,328. Louvre windows. F. MORITZ, [trading as FRITZ H. MORITZ KOMM-GES]. Aug. 7, 1964, No. 32145/64. Heading E1J. The end clips or holders 3 of a louvre window are made of synthetic plastics and have a groove 4 (Fig. 3, not shown) for insertion of the end portion of the louvre slat 2, one wall 4a of the groove flexibly pressing on the louvre slat, the supporting frame being also made of extruded plastics. The holder is made integral with an arm 11, having a projection serving as a bolt to co-operate with an operating rod 12 for simultaneously operating all the louvre slats. Each louvre slat has a bolt 8, Fig. 3, for location in a bore in the jambs 7 of the support frame. Each louvre slat has a wedgelike ledge 6, diverging downwards to abut a ledge 7 on the jambs so that the louvre slats in closed position overlap each other without the slats actually touching. The end of the rod 12 may have a detent mechanism to hold it in a desired position to retain the louvre slats at a desired open position.
