Abstract

1,030,198. Tents. A. DE ANGELIS. July 23, 1964 [July 26, 1963], No. 29851/63. Heading EIA. A portable, folding tent comprises four extensible legs 9 pivotably mounted on the roof rack 8 of a vehicle, each leg consisting of three sections 9a, 9b, 9c adapted to be folded up for storage, see Fig. 5 (not shown) and rigidly held extended by a locking element 10 and an angle bracket 11. Each leg 9 can be locked in a selected angular position relative to the rack 8 by a pivotal connection for details of which Fig 3 (not shown) should be referred to. Tensioning cables 14, 15 are also provided as shown together with turn-buckles, if so desired.
