Abstract

The extensible caravan comprises a first cabin of constant internal volume, and a second folding one joined onto it at the rear end. The folding cabin has floor (4) and ceiling (5) hinging on horizontal axes at the bottom and top respectively of the rear end of the first cabin, and two side panels on vertical axes at this end. When folded, the side panels are closest to the first cabin rear end, followed by the ceiling and then the floor. Floor and ceiling are coupled together, so that the ceiling can start to swing out when the floor has swung through a predetermined angle, and so that they simultaneously reach the final extended position.
